All tubers stored in the soil will receive very light moisture but should be checked every couple of weeks for soft spots, excessive drying, etc. Hence, watering would be on the same cycle. Storage of tubers, be it dry or in their soil should be in the range of 50-60dF [and 10-15 dC]. Remember, this is a time of dormancy, heat and light are not required and should be avoided.
