Nicholas Wightman sent me an email and some great images of the species A. mossambicensis. Just thought I'd share them with you. Snow, Amorphophallus in a Northern Temperate Zone Climate Hello Snow, My name is Nicholas Wightman and I'm an Amorphophallus enthusiast. I have grown 3 different species though right now only have 1. Both A. bulbifer and A. symonianus that I had bought disappeared in a flood this past spring while I was away. A. mossambicensis I brought back with me and is doing very well. Last year at this time I was in southern Africa (Zambia to be specific). I was born there and still have my father and some family living there. I was there between Oct. 06 and May 07 and was able to see numerous A. mossambicensis plants flower on my dads property. I was overwhelmed and overjoyed. I took many photos and collected as many of the seeds that set that I could (got over 1200). I wanted to take them all back to Canada with me but I knew otherwise. Ultimately, I'm planning on returning and starting a nursery there with a side business of exporting african amorphs to people in the U.S., Canada, Europe etc... Anyways, here are some of the pics I took of A. mossambicensis. Feel free to put them up on your site if you're still operating it. cheers, Nick
